Privacy Policy

Fade is operated by GhostBet LLC, a California limited liability company ("GhostBet," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Fade application or fadeplay.us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies alongside our Terms of Service.

Information you give us:

• Email address — used to create and secure your account, sign you in, and send password resets.
• Username — shown publicly to other members of leagues you join.
• Profile picture — optional. If you upload one it is screened by automated image moderation before publication and then shown to other members. You can remove it or switch to a built-in avatar at any time.
• Reports you file — if you report another user, we store the reason, any note you write, and who filed it, so we can review it.
• Blocks you set — we store which users you have blocked so we can hide their profile picture from you. Blocks are private and are never shown to the blocked user.
• League text you enter — league names, and any optional notes such as a buy-in or prize-pool label, are stored as you typed them and shown to members of that league.

Information generated by your use:

• Gameplay data — the predictions you make, virtual point stakes, outcomes, standings, matchup results, and league membership.
• Product analytics — pages viewed and features used, so we can understand what to improve.
• Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and request logs, used to operate and secure the Service and to prevent abuse.

We do not collect payment information, because Fade has no purchases. We do not collect precise location data, contacts, or health data.

• To create your account and sign you in.
• To operate leagues, settle predictions, and calculate points, standings, and matchup results.
• To display your username and avatar to other members of leagues you belong to.
• To screen uploaded profile pictures for objectionable content, and to review reports and enforce our Terms.
• To maintain audit logs for settlement integrity and abuse prevention.
• To send service messages such as password resets and important notices about your account or leagues.
• To understand product usage in aggregate and improve the Service.
• To comply with law and to protect our users, our rights, and our systems.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We use a small number of third-party providers to run the Service. They process data on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to provide their service to us.

• Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and file storage. Holds your account record, gameplay data, and any uploaded profile picture.
• Vercel — application hosting and content delivery. Processes request and network data, including IP address, to serve the app.
• Sightengine — automated image moderation. Receives a copy of a profile picture at the moment you upload it, in order to score it for objectionable content. It is not sent your name, email, or any account identifier.
• PostHog — product analytics. Receives usage events associated with your account identifier so we can see how features are used.
• Sportmonks — real-world sports fixtures, odds, and results. This is a one-way feed into Fade; no personal information about you is sent to it.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or of GhostBet. If GhostBet is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will give notice before it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. This policy does not cover those sites, and we encourage you to read their own privacy policies.

You may request access to a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data. To make a request, email contact@fadeplay.us from the address on your account.

You can change or remove your profile picture and username from the app at any time. You can block another user from their profile page.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example, California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We will respond to verifiable requests within the time the law requires.

Some information must be retained even after an account is deleted — for example, settled results that other members' league standings depend on. Where we keep such records we remove or disassociate identifying details where practicable.

We keep your account information and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, prevent abuse, or preserve league integrity as described above.

Reports and moderation records are retained for as long as needed to enforce our Terms and to demonstrate that we act on reports.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords managed by our authentication provider, and database-level access rules that limit what each account can read. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Fade is not directed to children. The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, contact contact@fadeplay.us and we will delete the account and the associated data.

Fade is operated from the United States, and the providers listed above process data in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and we will give notice through the Service or by email where a change is material.
